Lymphoscintigraphy for sentinel node localization was performed after the intradermal injection of 75 microcuries of technetium 99m labeled and filtered sulfer colloid at four sites surrounding the melanoma/ breast mass.
Findings:
Right/ Left axillary (or regional) lymph nodes are demonstrated on scintigraphic images obtained 15 minutes after the injection of radiotracer. The skin was marked using direct visualization under the gamma camera to identify the location of the lymph nodes in the ap and lateral/ oblique planes.
Impression:
Technically successful localization of sentinel lymph nodes.
